Implementation of RVP in physical education at elementary school in relation to pupils and their opinions (preferences)

The diploma thesis deals with the personal opinions (preferences) of 1st grade elementary school students regarding the implementation of physical education lessons in relation to the content level of the framework educational program. The diploma thesis is divided into theoretical part and a practical part. In the theoretical part of the thesis are specified in more detail the characteristics of the younger school-aged child, the physical activity of the younger school-aged child and the framework educational program Man and Health. In the practical part of the diploma thesis is carried out research in the form of a questionnaire survey of primary school pupils and formal interviews with the pedagogy of primary school. The aim of the diploma thesis is to find out whether the opinions (preferences) of pupils in the 1st grade of primary schools coincide with the content fulfillment of the goals of the framework educational program of pedagogy implemented in the lessons. Knowledge of kidney function and disease in upper elementary school pupils of selected elementary schools

The dissertation entitled Knowledge of kidney function and disease in upper elementary school pupils of selected elementary schools focuses on what knowledge of kidneys and kidney disease among pupils of selected elementary schools. The objective of the thesis is to show what knowledge pupils of the final two grades of selected elementary schools have about the structure and function of the kidneys as well as kidney disease and the possibilities of disease prevention, namely in terms of a suitable lifestyle and exercise. The theoretical part of the dissertation focuses on the description of the structure and function of the kidneys, kidney diseases and their treatment options, as well as the development of dialysis treatment since 2015 and assumptions about the success of the treatment. Importantly, it examines the Framework Educational Programme for elementary education, where the focus is on areas related to the topic of kidneys and their health. The bachelor thesis deals with the use of didactic games in teaching and their structure. The theoretical part focuses on clarifying the term didactic game, describing specific types and forms of didactic games and the specifics of their use in primary school teaching, while the practical part is focused on the benefit of didactic games for pupils and their perception of games in connection with the competences of the Framework Education Program. This contribution was tested at the Jakub Jan Ryba Elementary School and the Pohůrecká Elementary School.
Entry knowledge and ideas about Central European states for pupils of younger school age

The thesis deals with the scope and the level of entry knowledge and ideas about Central European states for pupils of younger school age. The aim of the work is to evaluate, through a quantitative research inquiry, the comprehensive knowledge of central European countries of pupils in the first grade. The evaluation was carried out on the base of a questionnaire survey of 396 respondents from eight primary schools, allowing an assessment of the level of geographical knowledge of primary pupils in fourth and fifth years. The analytical part of the thesis focuses on results and their comparison according to several categories, which are differences in knowledge across schools, years and gender. This section also looks at the differences arising from the location and size of the primary schools in question and, last not least, the source of this knowledge. The final practical section is based on the results of the survey and contains educational material, which is extended to include a methodical guide for educators and suggestions for teaching central European states.
Cross-curricular relations in the teaching of the czech language and literature and history in the 9th grade of upper secondary school

This master thesis deals with the issue of cross-curriscural relations of the Czech language and literature and history in teaching in the 9th grade of upper secondary school. The first objective was to explore the current state of the concept of interdisciplinary relationships between these subjects in the Framework Educational Program for Elementary Education, selected School Educational Programs and selected teaching materials. The second objective was to to propose the possibilities of purposeful application of intersubject relationships of the studied subjects in teaching. The research consists in the analysis of the Framework Educational Program for Elementary Education, the School Educational Programs of nine selected schools and didactic material in the form of a history textbook, workbook, and teacher's guide, as well as a Czech language textbook, workbook, and teacher's guide, and finally, a reader and its accompanying teacher's guide. The research indicates that although School Educational Programmes are based on the Framework Education Program for Elementary Education, the concept of interdisciplinary relationships is not the same in all programmes. FORMATION OF THE SOLAR SYSTEM AND ITS PRESENTATION WITHIN LESSONS AT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

The main aim of this bachelor thesis is, how the Solar System is being taught in elementary schools. The first half is focused on the formation of the Solar System, its history and the newest discovered facts. Then, it focuses on data about the Sun, the Moon and other planets that are included in the Solar System. Next part deals with the research and opinions of the teachers about the options of running their lessons and the research of the student´s knowledges using an exam. Afterwards, these exams are graded and subjected to research. Next, there is an analysis of teaching materials and a presentation about the problematics of Framework Education programme and School Education programme. Finally, there is a design, how classes should be taught about the formation of Solar system after the detailed and diligent study of literature, observations and researches.
Analysis of multiplication methods and their application to teaching aids

The issue of admission to secondary schools and multi-year gymnasiums

This bachelor thesis focuses on the issue of unified entrance examination to secondary schools and multi-year grammar schools in the Czech Republic. The thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of basic terms related to the unified entrance examination as well as the definition of curriculum for individual thematic units for the primary and lower secondary education (first and second stages of basic education). The practical part of the bachelor thesis is divided into two parts. The first part contains the results of a survey of pupils in grades 5, 7 and 9, including answers to which schools the pupils apply to, how long and how exactly they prepare for the mathematics entrance examination. The second part of the practical part deals with the results of scores obtained by grade 9 pupils in three different sample entrance examination tests written from scratch by the thesis author. This part compares the scores obtained in each of the sample tests and investigates what types of problems pupils find difficult and what types of problems pupils are good at.
Media education and literacy of future teachers of health education at the Fakulty of Education of Charles University

Master thesis Media education and literacy of future teachers of health education at the Fakulty of Education of Charles University deals with the issue of their readiness to teach this area in schools. The aim of the thesis was to find out to what extent students of the Faculty of Education of Charles University in Health Education are ready to implement media education in schools. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical definition of media education and literacy and related terminology. Furthermore, I have included in my work the historical development and gradual inclusion of this issue in Czech curriculum documents. In the practical part, using quantitative and qualitative methods, research was conducted with the participation of 34 selected students, which focused on the readiness of future teachers to teach media education in schools. The data arising from the questionnaire survey were graphically processed and commented. Furthermore, the views of four respondents on the issue of teaching on this topic are part of my thesis. The research revealed that most students had been marginally exposed to media education during their undergraduate studies, but felt this preparation was insufficient for their future teaching practice. Knowledge and Attitudes of Pedagogical Workers in Jindřichův Hradec in Connection with the Civil Protection Policy

Since the topic of safety and population protection coserns all citizens, it is necessary that this area is dealt with within our education system. In the theoretical part of this thesis, it is described how the whole safety system in the Czech Republic works and how the issue of population protection is dealt with at primary and secondary schools within the Framework of Education Programme. The goal of the research is to find out how the Concept of Protection of Citizens is dealt with at primary and secondary schools in Jindřichův Hradec. Furthermore, the thesis aims to find out to what extent pedagogical workers are informed at these schools on this topic - human protection in emergency situations. In order to answer the questions of the research an electronic questionnaire was sent to a wide pool of teachers to find out how interested and informed they were in the given topic. Drawing of lots decided which schools will be a part of the research. At these schools employees that are responsible for the coordination of human protection in emergency situations were approached. On the basis of these data a quantitative research was carried out.
